Mongols as members of the hall are a known on the campus for their popular Republic Hall Week Celebration.Republic Hall has one of the most outstanding architecture on campus; the whole main hall is a labyrinth. It is also one of the halls for both males and females. What makes Republic Hall popular GH-wide climax of their hall week celebration dubbed "FUN CITY" which usually features some of Ghana's  finest artistes who thrill students to a number of current hits in the country. Mongols are passionate about their Hall and have a deep commitment to their hall week celebration.People of Republic hall are called Mongols. The term mongols was borrowed from the country Mongolia, which has its citizens called Mongols. Why that? Mongolia is one of the countries to gain the earliest republic in  November 26, 1924. This being republic hall deserves to to be associated with such country who struggle to make the impossible possible. The mongols are set the pace, which is symbolized by the famous "Cock." or locally known as Akok). The meaning behind this being the pack that the cock is always the first to wake up in the morning, crow in other to jump-start the morning for any other activity. That is why Mongols always set the pace.
